  • What is the climate like in Panama?
    Panama has a tropical climate year-round, with warm temperatures and humidity. There are two main seasons: the dry season (from December to April) and the rainy season (from May to November).
  • Is Panama safe?
    Panama is considered one of the safest countries in Latin America. As in any city around the world, it is recommended to take basic precautions, especially in less crowded areas or at night.
  • Do I need a visa to study in Panama?
    Depending on your nationality, you may need a visa to enter Panama. Students planning to stay for less than 90 days can usually enter as tourists. We recommend checking with the Panamanian embassy in your country or contacting us so we can guide you based on your specific situation.
  • What accommodation options are available?
    We offer different accommodation options for our students, such as host families, shared apartments, and hostels near our schools. All options are carefully selected to provide a comfortable, safe, and culturally enriching experience. For more information about our accommodatio
  • Does EPA offer airport transfers?
    Yes, we offer scheduled transfers from Tocumen International Airport in Panama City to your accommodation. We also provide long-distance transfers to our schools in Playa Venao and Boquete. For more information, please contact our advisors.
  • What other transportation options are available from the airport?
    You can take authorized taxis or use services such as Uber. The Panama Metro is modern and safe and has a direct connection to Terminal 2 of Tocumen International Airport. You can pay with Visa and Mastercard cards—no metro card is required.
  • How can I get to Boquete or Playa Venao?
    To reach Boquete or Playa Venao, you can travel by bus, private transportation, or domestic flights. Our team can help you coordinate the best transportation option based on your destination and schedule.
  • What is the enrollment process?
    To enroll, you must contact us so we can provide you with our registration form.
  • How does the payment process work?
    A one-time payment is made at the beginning of your program.
  • How can I pay for the course?
    We offer different payment options: bank transfer, PayPal, Venmo, Yappy, Wise, and a payment link for debit and credit cards.
  • How is my Spanish level assessed?
    Before starting classes, we ask you to complete a level assessment (written and oral). This allows us to place you in the appropriate group according to your language proficiency, ensuring you get the most out of your learning experience.
  • Can I start classes on any Monday?
    Yes! At EPA, most of our Spanish programs start every Monday throughout the year, giving you flexibility to plan your trip and begin when it suits you best. We just recommend booking in advance to ensure availability.
  • Can I study for just one week, or is there a minimum?
    You can study from one week up to several months, depending on your needs and availability. We offer flexible programs that adapt both to those looking for a short experience and to those seeking a longer, more intensive process.
  • Are classes in-person, virtual, or hybrid?
    We offer in-person classes at our schools in Panama City, Boquete, and Playa Venao, as well as virtual programs for students who prefer to learn from home. Some students even combine both modalities at different stages of their learning journey.
  • What is the difference between group and private classes?
    Group classes are ideal for practicing in a group, interacting with other students, and participating in communicative activities. They have a maximum of 7 students per group, allowing for personalized attention in a social environment.
    Private classes are fully tailored to your goals, pace, and learning style. They are ideal if you have specific objectives or prefer to progress individually.
  • Are books and materials included in the program?
    No, books are not included and have an additional cost. They are available in both physical and digital formats.
  • How many students are there per group?
    Our group classes have a maximum of 6 students per group, which allows us to provide close, personalized attention while encouraging interaction in class.

We have specific textbooks for each level. Although they are not mandatory, we recommend purchasing them if you plan to take classes for more than two weeks, as they are used daily in the classroom as part of the supporting materials. If you choose not to purchase them, you will receive supplementary materials during your lessons.
